A short read before you arrive. Most of it is what you'd expect on a working farm — the rest keeps everyone (people, animals, and the well) happy.
General
Non-smokers only — there is no smoking anywhere on the property.
No pets.
The farm is surrounded by open land and forest, with wildlife and insects about. Please use care and caution. Shenandoah National Park safety guidelines have more on sharing space with wildlife.
During Your Visit
Remove footwear upon entering the yurt.
Children must be under adult supervision at all times.
Please use the compost and recycling containers.
Blankets, quilts, pots, and pans are to be used inside the yurt — please don't take them out.
Pool & Hot Tub
No lifeguard on duty — use at your own risk.
No food or glass in the pool or hot tub area.
Please put away any materials you've used.
The pool and hot tub close at 10:00 PM.
No outdoor amplified music.
Privacy & Quiet
Farm quiet time is 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM.
Please respect the privacy of our neighbors and of other guests on the property.
Check-Out
See the check-out guidelines in the House Manual for the specifics.
Clean all dishes and areas used, put clean dishes away, and place used linens and towels in the tub.
Check-out is 11:00 AM at the main farmhouse.
Any purchased products (from the Farm Store, for example) can be paid for with PayPal, credit card, cash, or check.
Problems
If you run into any problem with your unit, have an accident, or damage anything, contact us immediately. We need to know right away to be able to help.
